Ingredients
750ml Red wine (preferably non synthetic)
6-8 Cloves
2 Cinnamon Sticks
2 Star anise
2-3 Tablespoon brown sugar or pure honey
¼ Cup Brandy (optional)
3-4 Slices of orange
½ Red apple
For garnishing
More fruits and cinnamon sticks for garnishing (optional).
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a pan and simmer in in medium-high heat until it just barely reaches a simmer. Stir to combine. Avoid letting it to boil, you don’t want to boil off alcohol. Reduce heat to low, cover and let the wine simmer at least for 15 mins. You could leave it in low heat for 1 hour while serving. Strain the spices and garnish with slice of orange and cinnamon and serve.
