You may be aware of the fact that meditation, in its many forms, can shift the brain and body in a number of beneficial ways. Studies state that meditation isn’t strictly psychological; it is one of the ways to engage in restorative activities that may provide relief for our immune systems, easing the day-to-day stress of a body constantly trying to protect itself. This can be predicted to then lead to healthier aging.
According to a study published, in the journal Translational Psychiatry, people who meditated regularly had shifted in genes, related to stress, inflammation and wound healing. They also showed positive shifts related to fighting viral infections.
Mindfulness Meditation boosts antibodies. A recent study confirmed that, after being given weekly meditation training for 8 weeks, had significantly higher levels of antibodies.

Mindfulness is the practice of purposefully focusing all of your attention on the current moment, and accepting it without judgment.
1. Dedicate time and space for your mindfulness practice.
2. Make a conscious effort to focus on the present moment, without judgment.
3. Allow yourself to do nothing and just be.
4. Don’t think about the past. Don’t plan the future. Don’t look at the time.
5. Pay attention to your thoughts, words, actions, and motivations.
6. Notice your judgments and let them pass.
7. Don’t be too hard on yourself when your mind wanders off during practice. Gently bring your attention back to the present.
