Your life isn’t yours if you always care what someone else thinks.
We care too much about what other people think of us, and it prevents us from doing the things we want to do or being who we truly are. From what you order at a restaurant to the outfit you wear you care too much about what other people would think. At times you forget your own likes and dislikes, even fail to do things that you enjoy or simply be yourself. Fear of people’s opinion (FOPO), had literally become an obsession for many, and even become addicted.
Every human being on the planet is paralysed in some aspect or in some area of their lives because they are concerned about what their parents or what their friends or what the people on Facebook, or what their colleagues or neighbours would think about themselves.
Your dreams and visions are your own properties. You alone can see it and have it. No one else around you can see that vision.
If you want to be successful, be bold to break that fear of what others would think and move forward.
There are a few signs that may tell you that you are worrying too much. Here are few,
You are afraid to say what you really think or believe
Constantly thinking that people are upset with you when they really aren’t
You do things that you don’t really want to do and then regret it afterwards.
You find it hard to do something different and maybe too scared to do so.
The active avoidance of certain people, mainly due to the fact you are scared that they don’t really like.
You do what others tell you to do and find it hard to make decisions.
You are still reading this post for a reason – Today is the day you pick ONE thing you haven’t done because you are fearful about what other people think - and you DO IT. Just one. Whether that is taking the first step in picking up the phone and calling one person you need to clear the table with, or simply sharing success on social media, getting a URL for a new website you want to start, or enrolling to that weight loss programme, that you’ve been wanting to, starting your or new business.
Thinking your way to it won’t make it happen. Today, one small move forward. You’ll still care what they think, but you’ll do it anyway, and that is how you stop caring about what everyone else thinks.
Here is why I want to encourage you to do that one thing, that you have been stopping yourself from doing, because if you sign up for that class, if you create your social media post, if you start your business, then you will be proving to yourself through the actions you don’t care of what other people think. The more you repeat this you will eventually come out of this paralysis.
